Deacon 2 Months

It is true, the more kids you have the less pictures you take. Sorry Deacon, but these are the only pictures I have of you from the last few weeks. Despite the two cases of double ear infections, Deacon has been a great baby. We took him in for his 2 month check up and he is already 14 pounds 10 ounces. He is my fastest growing kid so far. He loves to eat, he is already eating 7 ounces at every feeding. He sleeps great through the night, 10 pm to 7 or 8 in the morning. He is starting to smile a ton lately. Hudson and Lucy love to hold and talk to him. In the beginning it was a little rough with 3 kids but now I wouldn't change it for anything. I love my 3 little redheads!

Guess Whos Potty Trained.........
Lucy is officially a big girl now. I had planned on potty training her after her 2nd birthday but I figured since I was stuck at home with a baby I might as well do it. She did very well. The first 3 days I didn't think she was going to do it and then she woke up on the 4th and has been doing great ever since. The trick with her was PINK! We had a pink bucket with tons of pink toys, stickers, nail polish, lip gloss and other pink things. Every time she went to the bathroom she got to pick something pink out. I knew she had it all figured out when she was practically sleep walking to the toilet one morning and went to the bathroom and said "pink prize mom". The only problem now is that she takes forever to pick out what underwear she wants to wear!

He's Finally Here!

Deacon is here finally! That was the longest and toughest pregnancy I have had. Deacon was born Sunday, March 8th at 8:45 in the morning. He weighed 9 pounds 11 ounces (I still cannot believe he was that big!) and was 21 3/4 inches long. Lucy and Hudson love having him home.

Christmas 2008
Christmas eve we went to my parents for dinner and practiced our first annual nativity. The kids had fun there is a video of it here.
The kids exchanged gifts. Lucy has entered girly land and is never coming back. She loved her gift, thank you Mylie!
Hudson couldn't have been happier with getting Transformers. Thank you Coen! After the kids exchanged gifts we had our white elephant exchange. Always entertaining!
Then we hopped in the back of the truck and looked at christmas lights. The kids love it but out where my parents live now there aren't to many people that go crazy with their lights so next year we will have to scope out better neighborhoods.
Then it was time to go home and wait for Santa!Nate had put the truck together 2 nights before at my parents house so all we had to put together was the picnic table from my mom. We thought it would be no big deal but I am determined that anything from Little Tykes takes 3 times as long as you think it will take. After I think an hour and a half we finally had it all together (and this time we read the instructions first!)

Avery Mae Boyle

Jenny had her baby! She had Avery on December 26th by a scheduled c-section. She was scared out of her mind but she took it like a pro and was up and walking later that day. Avery was 7 pounds 8 ounces and 21 1/2 inches long. Cooper loves his baby sister and can't get enough of her. All the cousins fight over who gets to hold her and some of them even want to take her home. She is such a cute little girl!

Polar Express 2008
This year instead of taking the kids to the Polar Express my mother in law brought the Polar Express to them.
My father in law was the train conductor. All the kids came in their pajamas and jumped on the train!

After everybody gave there tickets they went on a train ride around the neighborhood and in the back yard while listening to the Polar Express soundtrack.

Pre-Christmas Drama
I hate this image but I have to show the torture chamber Lucy had to sit in (by the way that is not Lucy in the picture). Before christmas we had a lot of random sickness at our house. Lucy had it the worst and we were trying to figure out what was going on so her doctor sent her for a chest x-ray to see if she had a pneumonia. I went to the x-ray place (right after she had a catheter put in her to check for a UTI) and she fell asleep in the waiting room, I thought this was great because they will just lay her on the table to take an x-ray while she is sleeping (because that is what happened to Hudson when he had had a chest x-ray). So we get called back and the nurse rolls out this torture chamber and says I need to take off all her clothes from the waist up and strap her in this thing and then leave while she takes the x-ray. Just picture me sitting outside the door telling myself not to cry while Lucy, who had just been woken up, is in this horrible machine with someone she doesn't know screaming "MAMA" over and over again! One of the worst days of my life! I want to talk to the person that invented this contraption, there has to be a better way!

Halloween 2008
We had lots of Halloween parties this year. Our first one was at the Boyle's. Joan did such a good job and kept all of the kids entertained. The pictures below are of the donut eating contest. Hudson was a little freaked out to eat a donut off the rope but he loves them so much that he eventually ate it.
This was at the ward Trunk-or-Treat. The kids had so much fun going up to the cars to get candy. After a while Lucy would just go up and grab candy out of peoples hands.
It got very quiet at our house the day of Halloween. I went looking for Lucy and I found her here. She figured out that day that she LOVES treats.
