Let there be Light!

We have lived in our house for almost 4 years now and have NEVER had any light in our front room. It has always been this dark room that Hudson would think monsters hid in. Well, I am so proud to say, we finally have light in there! We had a service auction for enrichment a while ago and I won 2 hours of help to finish a project at home from Teresa. She is amazing and can do anything (plus her husband is an electrician!). So her and Erica (another amazing lady that can do anything) came over yesterday and wired the room and hung up the chandelier.

These are the holes we had to cut (and by we, I mean them because I just sat there and watched!) to bring the electricity over. Now I need to hire a drywall guy to patch them up. Any recommendations?

I feel like it is christmas! I have been waiting for this for 4 years. Nate and his brothers tried doing this a few years back but failed. I guess it takes some real women to finish the job! Now I just need to make a meal so we can actually sit down as a family and eat together.

I know I have been "plugging" Enrichment alot lately! (because of my calling as RS teacher I am still on the Enrichment committee). Go to Enrichment!!!!!!!!!

That is so sweet of them to do that for you. It looks great. Hey by the way my brother in law is a handy man and has filled patches at our house and enclosed my parents loft. So he could do your dry wall if you are still looking for someone.
