Okay, I have been tagged a few times and now I have FINALLY thought of 7 randoms about me.
1. I CHEATED my way through high school. Well, that sounds a little harsh. More like, I cheated my way through english class. I was in honors math and science classes my whole life but when it came to english, I had this huge fear of writing. So basically every essay I ever turned in was a masterpiece of cut and paste from several essays online. I am really surprised I never got caught. I am really surprised I actually graduated from high school because my philosophy teacher senior year made us right our essays in class and turn them in that day. I freaked out the first time he did this, how was I supposed to find some brilliant essay off of the internet when I was sitting in his class way out in the trailers. I ended up getting D's and F's on all my papers but got an A in his class and his coveted SHAFT award because I let him call me "BEEF" through the semester. Which leads me to:
2. I did not eat lettuce, tomatoes, onions, rice, potatoes, beans, avocados, bell peppers, cream cheese, cheesecake, nuts and a whole bunch of other stuff until a few years ago. Basically, I ate meat, bread and pasta, thus the name Beef (or at least I hope that is why I was called that). I don't know why I never ate these things but I definetly do not scrimp on them now. I love trying new foods and recipes now (except I still will not eat fish or mushrooms, ughh!).
3. I go ga-ga for Michael Buble. I remember the first time I heard him sing, I was getting ready for the day and the TODAY show was on and it was his first debut on tv. They talked about how some plumber heard this guy sing while he was working and the plumber convinced Michael to become a pro. Anyways, I heard him sing and was a smitten kitten ever since. This last year when he was on American Idol singing, Nate started talking to me during it and I was in such a daze I didn't even hear him. I know it is cheesy but there is something about his voice.
4. I always play with numbers in my head (this goes back to my accelerated math class days). I will be driving and look at license plates and try and figure out combinations that work with the numbers on the plates or I do it with clocks, billboards, phone numbers. I know I am a nerd, I can't help it.
5. I have a very hard time sleeping (unless I am pregnant). It is almost like I have this 2 minute window of opportunity to fall asleep at night and if I do not take advantage of it then it is going to be a LONG night. AND I can not nap, well I could if I didn't have children. I have to lay down for like an hour and then I finally fall asleep but usually by then one of the kids is awake or crying. One good thing about it is Nate gets up with our kids in the middle of the night. He can fall asleep in like a minute so he typically gets up with them in the middle of the night. THANKS!!!!
6. I don't think I can ever leave the country again. If any of you have watched Brokedown Palace you will understand. I hated that movie but I watch it every time it is on tv just so I can remind myself to never travel outside of the country. I have only been to Mexico a few times but I hated every second of it. I kept thinking we are going to get stuck here and framed for something we didn't do and we are going to have to go to there crappy prisons and sleep on dirt and take communal showers and never brush your teeth and only eat rice 3 times a day and live there in misery for the rest of our lives. I am a little paranoid!
7. I LOVE high heels, chocolate dipped cones at DQ, Nordstroms, black shirts, pencil skirts, BIG jewelry, tailored clothing, looking at homes, chapstick, Sunday-Monday outfits (you know the outfit you wear after church and then wear again on Monday, am I the only one that does this?) cooking, Target, making my mom and sisters decorate my house, peonies, black nail polish, making lists, going on walks, Tivo, Spanx, cinnamon bears, 80's movies, monopoly, Vera Wang perfume, Grey's Anatomy, making cinnamon rolls and my family!!!!!!!
I would tag people but I have been tagged several times and it took me probably 4 months to finally follow through with the first one so EVERYONE that wants to, do it!

Randi-
I forgot all about your cutting and pasting days. You actually helped me cut and paste an essay myself so thanks. Oh also I heard about your cinnamon rolls. Nicole said they were so amazing. I'll have to get the recipe sometime.
Randi- I loved reading your list. There was no internet when I was in High School - or college for that matter - but I totally would have been right there with you had there been!
And I LOVE Michael Buble too! He is the best!
i love all this interesting stuff about you! you totally make me laugh!
I LOVE Michael Buble too!!! His voice is amazing. I also love Dipped cones. It was fun to read about you. Especially about the essays. You totally crack me up.
I have to say I have yet to hop on the Michael Buble bandwagon...but I love that you are a MATH NERD! I wish!! I failed Math my sophomore year, then took a "STUPID" math class with all freshman when I was a JUNIOR! Yeah, it was embarrassing to say the least. Then again in college, I went into my math class for 1 day & never went back! Lets just say Math is my bad subject. But as for English & History I aced! Jenna would have never graduated if she didnt have me to copy from! I'm with you on the pencil skirts, I have the same black one I bought when I was a sophmore in HS & I still wear it all the time. Hey I wore it today! And you sound like Devon with your picky palate! Holy cow! But all she eats is pure sugar! Glad you have more sophisticated taste buds now, congrats :)
smitten kitten? how else can you use this phrase?
Oh man, I remember those days, you taught us all very well how to cheat our way through High School. Yeah, I failed math so many times I can't even count. If I remember right I think due to my math failures I barely graduated!! Where were you then!!!
Broke down palace was a really freaky movie. I get a little freaked myself traveling when I leave my kids and wonder if Ill make it back. We just went to Mexico and it was worth it now that we are home safe.
I can also relate to the no sleep issue. How can we be dead tired after a long day and snuggle in bed and stay wide awake? I dont get it! Ambien has been my occasional friend for nights like that!
